Originally slated for this year,Silent Hill: Downpourhas been delayed to the second quarter of next year, as confirmed by Konami. Considering the game was due November 4 and has had very little marketing, I don’t think anyone’s surprised. Konami’s given it a window of Q2 2012, which would put it somewhere between March and June. I am very glad of the delay, becausewhen I played itearlier this year, I thought it was awful....

Thanks to Valve’s newly released education program “Teach with Portals”, schools will now have the opportunity to teach their students throughPortal 2. No, really. Valve has takenPortal 2‘s recently releasedPerpetual Testing Initiativeexpansion and created a more educational version known simply as the Puzzle Maker. Valve has described the Puzzle Maker as a tool that, “…empowers students and educators to craft unique puzzles, explore worlds, and share custom lesson plans.” Valve also says that the program can help students “develop an intuitive understanding of physical principles such as mass and weight, acceleration, momentum, gravity, and energy” as well as with “critical thinking, spatial reasoning, problem solving, iteration and collaboration skills, and encourage overall inquiry into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning....

A PlayStation 3 manual (or User Guide as they call it) has now been published online. It includes just about everything you would want to know about the system, including how to log in, use the XMB, hook up the console to your PSP, browse the internet etc etc. So, in case you’re one of the 480,000 people who are guaranteed a PS3 at launch, give it a look.
