Corpse Party: Book of Shadows heading to PSP next week

Are you ready for a second trip to Heavenly Host Elementary School? Corpse Partyis one of the most disturbing horror games I’ve ever experienced. Starting out on something of a cheerful note, the game allows players time to form bonds with its affable cast of characters. That is, before it rips all of that away and plunges headlong into darkness. The game certainly plays with one’s heartstrings and I can understand if one dose of despair was enough for some players, but if you’re up for another thrill ride this emotional roller coaster is coming around for another pass....

Dirty Dancing game announced: ZOMGROMANCE!!!

I tremble at the logic here. Somewhere, a room full of people not only came up with the concept for this game, but decided it would be GOOD. BlameCodemastersfor this fearful turn of events, who apprently teamed up with Lionsgate to produce this work of rapture for the PC. Per the teaser page: “Work alongside the team at the Kellerman’s resort, play through a fantastic variety of fun mini-games and earn camp dollars to purchase Dirty Dancing® memorabilia, cabin furnishings, and the all-important dance lessons with Johnny and Penny....

Do you prefer the new Zelda’s American or European box art?

Vote or die There are two competing box arts forThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We’ve got the North American version, which is the same one Japan will use, surprisingly: And then there’s the softer, more saturated and painterly European box art: I’m not really into either (box art is just so dull these days…), but if my adjectives didn’t tip it, I’ll probably take the brighter one that shows off the main character....

Even more game-inspired woodblock prints are on the way

Ukiyo-e Heroes: Boss Fights It’s hard for me to fathom that it’s been five years sinceUkiyo-e Heroes, a series of game-inspired Japanese woodblock prints, sought funding through Kickstarter. Straight up, it’s one of my favorite channels around. (Here’s a great video from 2013 showing the making of theMetroid-inspired “Infestation....

Feast your eyes on these new Thief screenshots

Before Garrett steals them, anyway Thiefmight be the game I’m most excited about from 2014, so Eidos Montreal knows exactly how to tease me by releasing some screenshots from early in the game. These are all from an initial level of the game called Lockdown; a curfew has been imposed by Baron Northcrest in an attempt to stop the spreading of a disease known as The Gloom and to quell the unrest it has caused....
